Sorta."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My last post indicated my recent seduction into the addictive world of Apple games.\u00c2\u00a0 First, it was an innocent, nostalgic game of <em>Oregon Trail<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 But then, soon after, I was sucked into the crime-filled world of <em>Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego? <\/em>(Turns out she was hiding along the Oregon Trail.\u00c2\u00a0 The bitch died of a snake bite.)\u00c2\u00a0 Now I&#8217;m stuck playing <em>Fraction Munchers<\/em>&#8211;quite possibly the first Apple IIe\/gs game I can remember playing.\u00c2\u00a0 For those of you who don&#8217;t know the game, it&#8217;s exactly like Pac-Man.\u00c2\u00a0 Only, you don&#8217;t collect any dots, there are no power-ups, you don&#8217;t get chased by ghosts, there are fractions (lots of &#8217;em&#8211;but don&#8217;t get them confused with whole numbers), and you&#8217;re not a little, yellow, half-eaten pizza pie.<\/p>\n<p>So, while I&#8217;m busy doing that, here&#8217;s a couple of photos.\u00c2\u00a0 One of me, and the other of Auggy.\u00c2\u00a0 People say he looks more like me than he does his Ma, but I think they&#8217;re saying that only because we&#8217;re both white and we&#8217;re both the cutest people, evah.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.skipfitz.net\/blog\/blogimages\/misc\/skip-small.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"182\" height=\"321\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.skipfitz.net\/blog\/blogimages\/wiggy\/auggysmile-small.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"427\" height=\"268\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next post: The Harrowing World of\u00c2\u00a0 Fraction Munchers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My last post indicated my recent seduction into the addictive world of Apple games.\u00c2\u00a0 First, it was an innocent, nostalgic game of Oregon Trail.\u00c2\u00a0 But then, soon after, I was sucked into the crime-filled world of Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?
